Extreme 2 Wins 2025 Detroit Sailing World Regatta
In the S2 7.9 fleet, Dan Cheresh's team aboard Extreme 2 demonstrated exceptional dominance, securing an easy series victory. Extreme 2's performance was particularly impressive, as they won seven out of the nine races contested in the regatta. The racing was close throughout the event.
Friday brought light and shifty conditions, with breezes at 7-10 knots. Saturday was a cold and sporty day, seeing gusts up to 25 knots and sustained winds of 15-20 knots for most of the day. Sunday started with 8-10 knots, increasing to 14-17 knots by the last race.
John Spierling's Rebel secured second place, while Andrea Hill's Ginger finished in third.
