Unfortunately, Stef, they are out of the sailboat business. And they say they want to be contacted by e-mail or letter only. Many of us have worked with local suppliers of plastic parts or improvised to replace broken parts such as sliders and board retainers.

On Hot Tamale we have a short (6") piece of track at the base of the mast. Our lower vang bracket is welded to a slide that goes on the track. There is one hole in the track to set the slide position. The vang is easily removed without disassembling from the bracket. The track does not interfer...

Carbon Fiber Sails

A recent posting on a SA forum holds that Carbon Fiber is now legal in 7.9 sails. They seem to interpret the rule 2.5.1 to include carbon ratther than exclude it. I thought Carbon qualified as 'metal fiber'. Any thoughts??

What ramp or boat launch does everyone use at St Pete??
Thanks

In '98 we used the ramp at the end of the park between the yacht club and the sailing center. It is at the bay end of the docking basin.

Topside Graphics

Is anyone considering replacing their topsides graphics? Ours is a set of about 9 stripes, about 8' long with the logo shadowed or ghosted in.

I race on a Catalina 320 who's owner swears by the stuff. This led us to using it on Hot Tamale last spring launch and now my skipper swears by the suff as well. It held up well the entire season and the drainstain lines (you know, those dark lines running down the topside) just wiped off with dish ...

We've used VC17 on Hot Tamale (#477) for the past 9 years. It was the bottom paint when we bought the boat, so I don't know what underlying prep was done. We switched to VC17 w/ Biolux this year and are very pleased with the results. When we pulled it out after 22 weeks in the water, we only has to ...

Sorry, Quinn, I just reread where you say the Sheafer 32-77 doesn't fit. What size are your tracks?
